Sports is a strategic development function for remote Hela communities. We look to work in partnership with youths in villages to promote safe and healthy living practices through sporting activities. Secured jersey sets in partnership with Newcastle Rescue for a local rugby league team – TEKU EELS in Koroba.
AREA OF FOCUS
The province covers an area of 10,498 km², with a population of 4 00,000 people. Divided in to 3 electorates; Komo Margarima, Koroba Kopiago and Tari Pori, sharing provincial boarders with East and West Sepik, Western, Enga and Southern Highlands. Officially came into province on 17 May 2012.
